Privacy Policy
Effective August 5, 2026
This policy explains what E2 Entertainment LLC ("TopBid," "we") collects when you use
topbid.live and its subdomains, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version:
we collect the minimum needed to run live auctions and settle sales, payment card details go
to Stripe and never touch our servers, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
1. What we collect
- Seller accounts: your handle, display name, email, password (stored only as a
salted cryptographic hash, never as plain text), and the profile you choose to publish
(photo, social links).
- Bidders (no account needed): the display name you type, a random device identifier
that keeps your bids attributed to you, and the bids you place. Bids and display names are
public on the auction and on the Seller's stream.
- Winners: the shipping details you submit (name, address, email). These are
delivered to the Seller so they can ship your item, and are otherwise stored on your own
device and in the Seller's console rather than in a central profile about you.
- Payments: handled by Stripe, Inc. Card numbers and bank details go directly from
you to Stripe and are never seen or stored by TopBid. We receive transaction
metadata (amounts, status, last four digits) needed to run the auction and settle fees.
Stripe's handling is described in the
Stripe Privacy Policy.
Sellers completing payout verification provide identity details directly to Stripe under
the same policy.
- Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, request, timestamp) kept for
security and debugging, and browser storage as described in Section 4.
2. How we use it
- Running auctions in real time: showing bids, leaderboards, and winners on the auction
page, the Seller's console, and the Seller's stream overlay.
- Settling sales: charging winners, deducting platform fees, releasing Seller payouts, and
keeping records needed for disputes, chargebacks, and tax reporting.
- Getting items delivered: passing the winner's shipping details to the Seller.
- Safety: preventing fraud, shill bidding, and abuse, using signals like device identifiers
and transaction patterns.
- Support and legal compliance.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party
advertising.
3. When we share it
- Between the people in a sale: winners' shipping details go to their Seller;
bidders' display names and bids are public to the auction.
- Stripe, to process payments, verify Sellers, and meet financial regulations.
- Service providers that host our infrastructure and deliver our email, bound to use
the data only for those services.
- Legal: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the Platform and its users
from fraud or abuse.
- Business transfer: if TopBid is acquired or merged, data transfers with it under
this policy's protections.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We use your browser's local storage for function, not tracking: keeping you logged in,
remembering your bid name and device identifier, and saving Seller console state. We run no
third-party advertising trackers and no analytics that identify you personally. Payment pages
may set cookies required by Stripe for fraud prevention.
5. Where data lives and how long
Data is stored on infrastructure we operate. Account data is kept while your account is
active. Transaction records are kept as long as needed for disputes, chargebacks, accounting,
and tax obligations, then deleted or anonymized. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. To
close your account or request deletion of your data, email
support@topbid.live; we will honor the request except
for records we are legally required to keep (such as completed transaction records).
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it,
or ask us to delete it, by emailing
support@topbid.live. California residents may exercise
the access, deletion, and non-discrimination rights provided by the CCPA; because we do not
sell personal information, no opt-out of sale is needed. We respond to verified requests within
the timeframes the law requires.
7. Age
The Platform is for adults: you must be 18 or older to sell, bid, or buy. We do not
knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we delete any such information we
become aware of.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted with TLS, passwords are stored as salted hashes, payment credentials
never touch our systems, and access to production infrastructure is restricted. No system is
perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Changes
We will update this policy as the Platform evolves, and the effective date above always
reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the Platform.
